If...

If you could look through my eyes and see into my world, what would you see? Would you see the beauty and grace that my eyes have become used to, and so no longer see? Would you see the darkness and bleak surroundings that I have lived with so long that I am numb to?
Would you think I am blessed with everything I have? Would you think me strong for surviving the hardship that I have been through? Would you think me poor in spirit or in emotion? Would you not understand what has made me the person I am or would you see the circumstances and conditions that have shaped my life?
If you were me would you have done things differently or would you have enjoyed the same successes and failures?

Something to think about - and something to ask the people YOU know.

We have all been through hardship, bleak times, we all feel sorry for ourselves that life changes bu IF things had been so glorious and so right they would have stayed that way....they didn't, because they weren't.....
You are blessed, healthy children, life itself, health.....
Imagine being told you had a terminal illness with a year to live, imagine leaving your children without a father, imagine fighting on the front line and losing commrades and limbs or your life even???
Embrace each new day with all it has to offer and give thanks for what you have and cheer up!!

OK, you seem to have the idea that this was a miserable / self pitying post. It really wasn't supposed to come across that way. If you read it again you'll notice a balance between the good and the bad. I have no idea WHY my brain decided to prompt me into posting this little piece but it did and I was just interested in getting peoples feedback. Thank you for taking the time to comment though.

Actually, re-reading it, I can understand why it does come across a bit 'bleak'. Again, it wasn't supposed to be that way. I wasn't in a negative frame of mind when I wrote it - I was quite positive actually. Maybe I shouldn't try and be so 'deep' in future!
