So I went to the O2 store today, to check out the possibility of getting an iPhone. I know that in May O2 are going to offer the 8GB phone for free on their £35.00 tariff (which is the one I'd want) but at the moment you have to pay £99. So, if I'm going to leave Orange then I would wait until May to get my free phone. So I popped in there to check the details and found out that if I want a free iPhone I'd have to sign up for a 2 year contract! Man, that sucks. I don't like being tied in for 18 months as it is... but 2 years? I don't think so.
So unless something comes up that disuades me from the Blackberry Bold, I think that'll be the puppy. I'll let you all know... (yeah, and you're all on tenderhooks waiting aren't you...)

I have an iPhone and it's lovely. Did you try a jail broken one on eBay. All this from a guy who hates apple.
if the i-phone wasn't such a cool product though, O2 wouldn't be able to get away with offering a 2 year min contract. The bastards have got us by the balls (and our hearts and minds will follow)....
I know, the iPhone does rock as a product - but there's no WAY I'm gonna tie myself into a contract for two dagnabbit years
i think i was tied in to 18 months for the 16gb one....might be worth considering (i expect you've got loads of music to fill it up with)
Why would I do that and have to pay for the phone, when I can stay with Orange and get a Blackberry for free? I know, its not an iPhone, but its still a VERY cool phone and its free, my favorite price!
