Feelings of Inadequacy

I've been reading a couple of other peoples blogs today, and I can't help feeling Im not posting enough 'interesting' stuff. I mean, I have said in the past, I won't pander to what people want and will post whatever the hell I like, but at the same time I am worried that my posts will come across as boring to those people who dont actually know me. (I still dont know what sort of audience this blog gets - I have a few regular readers who comment, and thank you to those (you know who you are) but as to how many people spend time reading my spoutings I have no idea...). Anyway, the very nature of blogs means that the content is king, and if its dull and uninteresting who the hell will want to keep coming back?

The big problem is, of course, I dont have a lot of interesting things to post about... my life is pretty standard / boring / dull / run of the mill... its not as if Im in show business, or I do anything fabulous or exotic. So where would the interesting stuff come from? I will admit to holding back on some things - there are some things I would love to post on here, but the people that would be involved would get very upset / angry / insulted etc. and so I dont. I have been told by a listener that I should write what the hell I like and not to worry about what other people think, and for the most part I do, but I dont think I can post EVERYTHING in my dark, damaged little mind.

So Xmas is nearly here... Im at work tomorrow until lunchtime, then off (yipee!) until Friday 4th January. How sweet is that?? I will be posting over the holiday season, and hopefully it'll be worth reading. Have a good Wednesday all....

MY advice- read, read, read other's blogs and it will spur you to reveal things you think about, dream of doing, hate, love, find interesting, funny, etc.
It will take time to find readers and they will come and go. But reading and commenting on other's blogs you like will engage other readers for your blog.
Google blog subjects you are interested in and visit those. I googled gardening blogs and have a ton I can't even get around to because there are so many good ones.
I plan to google pole dancing blogs next. Just think of the blogs!
